yes there was a muzzle cap or plug. In some pics you see this cable or cord wound around and down the barrel. As for figures I some online If I find the link again I will post it

sounds like someone put the band from a veterns league cap on the cross. I'm assuming the emblems on it are sideways down the ribbon?

DK in gold
the DK were a stepping stone between the EK1 and the RK. They were awarded for bravery. They got them for doing something brave that was greater then the EK1 but did not meet the requirements for the RK

I read someplace of a british medical officer being awarded the german red cross medal and was sent to England through the International Red Cross. He was awarded the medal for risking his life saving german personel

Yes I agree it is a KM coastal tunic but all of the insignia has been replace and incorrectly as well. The breast eagle should be yellow on green, the litzen should have yellow stripes with a white stripe between the upper and lower sections of the litzen, the shoulder straps should be either bottle...
