By the way, it was found in Oosterbeek.

Well one thing's for sure he wasn't involved in the battle of Arnhem.

Perhaps a member of one of the units captured when the area was finally taken in 1945?

The disc pictured translates like this:
5336= means the 5336th person enlisted
the 45= 1945
K= Kriegsmarine Küatenabteilung or coastal marine
