Can anyone tell me the modern name of the street in Riga - on the west bank, close to the old road bridge - known to the Germans as Mitauer Strasse?

Tom, I'm guessing it is Jelgava Street, but it would be nice to be certain!

I'm trying, fellow Forum Hero! I just don't know anyone that lives in Riga!

Hi Prit,
I will be in Riga towards the end of October so could take a look. Where does the street run to and from?
In fact it appears that Jelgavas iela has its own Wiki entry which states that it was called Alte Mitauer Strasse and then Mitauer Strasse.

We could do with some experts on the city on the forum.
You could call them the Riga extraordinary gentlemen...
(Sorry, that doesn't help you one bit Prit ).
