Boots and Shoes

Post by ssgrick »

I am looking for any references dealing with what companies and how many countries were involved in the manufacture of footwear for the Wehrmacht. :[] Also if there are references available stating how the footwear would be made and what it would look like. Any help will be muchly appreciated. :!:
Thanks

Hi Rick,
I think a good place to start would be with Bata which was at the time the largest producer of footwear in the world. Besides the factories in Czechoslovakia, during the pre-war period they had established factories in France, Holland, Germany and Poland because of the rise in tariffs during the Great Depression.
