Soldbuch entries.

Post by D_Dutch »

Hello,

I am almost in the posession of a soldbuch from Karl Sievers, an Oberleutnant and who was commander of the 6. Kompanie from the 10. Regiment of the 9. Panzer Division.
In his soldbuch are a couple things written that I can't figure out.

On the 15th of April 1945 he received his Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold, two weeks after he was taken to a Lazarett with wound-code 31.
Does somebody know what this code is? He was wounded by a gunshot or something? :?
Also, this his been written in the soldbuch "Fhr.Res.H.Gru.Sud unterstellt." but I can't figure out what this means, could somebody help with this?
One of his 9 awards is the Erinnerungsmedaille mit Spange Sudeten-Protektorat, written before this award is "17546", what does this mean?

Thanks in advance,

I'd agree with that.

Hello,

Today I finally received the soldbuch of Oberleutnant Karl Sievers.
It's complete, but not in a very good state, although I managed to scan a couple of pages from it.
Unfortunatly I can't figure out these pages either, Hopefully someone can translate this.

Thanks in advance,

Koen.

Hello to all !

I would like to make some minor additions to the excellent work done by Hiltraut  ,
and some (hopefully interesting :D ) remarks as well.

First the remarks :

1) The name of the town on Image 3 (the Bekleidungsvermerke) should be Frankstadt,
a town near Friedeck-Friedberg, at that time Protektorat Böhmen u. Mähren. According
to Tessin, this is were the Pz.Gren.Ers.Btl. 10 was transferred to after August 1941
from its Home-garrison St.Pölten.

2) Maybe not everyone is familiar with the term "Kapitulantenhandgeld".
(At least I wasn't, until I ran across it recently :[] ).
This was a one time bonus for those soldiers who signed a contract for longterm duty.
It was 100 RM for those who agreed to serve for 4 1/2 years,
and in case of 12 years duty it was 300 RM !

And here the additions to Hiltrauts translations :
(the square brackets are only used to keep the format readable):

1st Image : I'd agree with the 2nd suggestion, Besitznachweis

2nd Image :
Kapitulantenhandgeld gemäß
HVBl 1940 Teil B Ziffer 374,1.);
mit 300,-- RM

Einmalige Einkleidungsbei-
hilfe gem. E.W.S.S. §5 DB 17
mit 350,-- RM am 10.II.
1942 ausgezahlt.
. . den 10.2.42
[signed by Rechnungsführer und Leutnant u. Komp.Fü.]

And the stamp at the bottom of that page :

Formblatt 3 an die St. O. Geb. Stelle St. Pölten
am 14.12.43 abgesandt.
[-------] Reserve-Lazarett I Prag,
[-------] Verwaltung

3rd Image : (First the part in blue, then in black) :

am 28.8.43 wurde von Zahlm. Pz.Gren.Ers.
u.Ausb. Abt. 10, Frankstadt, eine Beihilfe
in Höhe von RM 80,- für in Verlust gera-
tene Wäsche und Gebrauchsgegenstände
gezahlt.
21.9.43 [ - - - ] Oberzahlmeister
[----------------] Zahlmeisterei 00001

Bezugschein f. 2 P. Stiefel-
sohlen erhalten.
Frankstadt, 18.10.43
[sorry, can't read the right part of that]

I hope this gives some additional informations :D .
If you need some special terms translated, please let us know.

Best regards,

hero.

Thank you all very much for your replies.
Unfortunatly I was hoping to find something about him being a Kompanieführer of the 6. Kompanie of Panzergrenadier Regiment 10. :(
