Seeking Service Record Information - SS men - film research

Post by BreakerM »

Hello everyone,
I am seeking service record information of individuals who served in the Kiel and Saarbruecken Gestapo headquarters in March 1944. I hope that this information will assist us in ensuring that the depiction of these men (uniforms, insignia, badges) in a documentary film we are making, will be as authentic as possible. I'd invite experts out there to contact me. If anyone emerges as a 1st class consultant on this, I would be happy to credit that person in the film (if desired) and provide them with a complimentary copy of the finished work.

They are:

Saarbruecken:
Kriminalsekretar Emil Schulz (SS-Untersturmfuhrer)

Kiel:
SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Johannes Post
Hans Kaehler (possibly Pol-Inspektor, but not certain)

Feel free to post here or to contact me directly if you would like to offer your assistance.
Thanks very much!

Well, I can't provide any assistance, but I will give public kudos to someone trying to do it right!

I guess this program isn't meant to run on the Mythtory Channel?

Hello Tom,
The documentary will be screening on ABC (Australia) and Channel 4 in the UK.
Still looking for service record info if anyone would like to help out.
Best regards,
Greg
