My good friend (age 90!), Hans Wasner, gave me these photos of his Luftwaffe service, including while he was a member of Fliegerscheinwerferabteilung 708 (part of Flakregiment 179) in Niederwerrn, near Schweinfurt 1943-44. For much of the time he was the Adjutant to the unit commander. You can see several wearers of the EKII in several of the "group" photos. All of the photos he and his wife have of their wartime years had to be reconstructed from relatives, as they lost everything when she had to flee Breslau in 1945 with their four children, and he was a POW for one year at the end of the war. Hans and I spend many pleasant hours just chatting (auf Deutsch, natuerlich) and we always include a snifter of Asbach Uralt as part of the conversation! Pictures are at the hyperlink on Photobucket. Enjoy and let me know what you, the viewers, think!
