I thought i posted this yesterday, but dont see it today, so i will repost it.
In a recently purchased helmet there is a label on the at label is info on josef deeken. I know he was in the luftwaffe, but that's all i can find out about him. I'm looking for any and all info on the man, and his unit, is he dead or alive, did he die in combat or not? What action he saw if any??
Here's what it says in the helmet

L 05404 = 2./Kp.Lw.Bau-Bt.17/III 28.4.40-14.9.40 in 1943 it became 2./Kp.Lw.bau-Bt. 117/III according to Kanapin.
