German OR their own forces? Who were some of them?

The Croatian 369th Regiment that served on the Eastern Front (as part of the 100th Jager Division) had a photo journalist imbedded with them. The result is a number of outstanding photos of the Croatian volunteers serving against the Soviets up till their fateful entry into Stalingrad.

From Disinfopedia, the encyclopedia of propaganda.
War propaganda is used to confuse and demoralize enemies and also to influence public opinions in friendly countries. Often, a nation at war uses propaganda to control its own citizens. According to British scholar F.M. Cornford, "Propaganda is that branch of the art of lying which consists in very nearly deceiving your friends without quite deceiving your enemies."
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and success of our liberty
