"We buried our best on foreign soil"
I believe this is a traditional German soldiers' saying, but I cannot find either the original German text, or a source as to where I might find it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Halder,
This is a rather revealing quote that rather reinforces Germany's reputation for engaging in wars of aggression.
It reflects the British line, "There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England", which unwittingly betrays a similar propensity for fighting foreign wars.
Cheers,
Sid.
