Once time here in Southamerica I had the oporunity to see a Luger with the Reich emblem,I wonder...is that too easy to see?
It wasn't in a Museum or something just in a gun store.

Nazi Lugers
Maximilian,
Unfortunately, here in South America nazi Lugers are not so common as the WWI pistols. The reasons are many:
1) only Brazil sent troops to fight in the ETO and only during the war´s last year so there are few pieces brought back as war trophies;
2) most of the guns that we have in South America came through imigrants that moved to the other side of Atlantic to escape from the turbulent years in the aftermath of WWI. After the WWII there was almost no imigration from the Europe (Germany) to South America;
3) finally, the number of Lugers produced during the III Reich is smaller than the previous years (only about 900.000 against more than 2,000,000 made until 1918 or so).
Besides that, most WWII Lugers that I could see are badly preserved. On the contrary, in USA you have a better chance to find one in good shape.
Regards,
Douglas.

Luger Pistol
Maximilian,
Nazi Lugers are not so common. In the International market, the price can be something between US$750.00 and US$2,000.00. It all depends if the pistol is matching number, if still has the original finish, pitting, etc...
There are some goos sites where you can have an idea about the price:
http://www.brocksguns.com
http://www.simpsonltd.com
http://www.adamsguns.com
They are all american dealers that have a good number of all kind of Lugers.
On the other hand, even in Museums in South America it is very hard to see one in good shape. I still find the an Imperial Luger is much more easier to get than a nazi one. Are planning to have it as a collection item or just for shooting?
Um abraço,
Douglas.
