The writing says :
Juni 1944 Nach meiner Ver-
wundung mit Fallschirmspringern
auf der "Walze" zur Einheit.
"Free" translation :
June 1944
After beeing wounded, I am on the march back to my
unit, together with some paratroopers.
"Auf der Walz(e)" is a special German term, for craftsmen (e.g. carpenters)
who are on the road for some time during their apprenticeship.
