Yes, yes, its based upon biased, unfounded assumptions (I didn't design it), but its interesting. Its 36 questions.
The conclusion surprised me.
Mine came down to a tiebreaker between the British, Italian, and the Finnish armies. Tie breaker put me as British.

Which WW2 army would have suited you best? Interesting quiz.

Great. I had no preconceptions of the Finns. Seems they fought for righteousness and like to blow up tanks with infantry.sid guttridge wrote:Hi Brian,
I played it straight and came out British and Commonwealth (which I am) at 100%. Like you, I also appear to be something of a closet Finn at 88%!
Cheers,
Sid.

Your army is Poland's army. Your tenacity will form a concept in the history of your nation and you're also ready to continue fighting even if your country is occupied by the enemy. Other nations that are included in this category are Greece, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands.
I expected to be close to it, but not THAT close
Poland - 100%
Finland - 63%
France, Free French and the Resistance - 56%
Germany- 56%
British and the Commonwealth - 50%
United States - 50%

No more Waffen SS for me
Nah, I'll settle for losing a war and then joining the resistance anytime. Much more "fun".

Well... apparently I would have fitted in with the Anglo-Saxons with a result of British and the Commonwealth at 88% and the United States at 75%... I have to admit that in real life and from a soldiering point of view, I could have lived with that choice!
Then came Italy at 69%...
It must be the food and wine!
Italian-American regards,

Oh, I almost forgot... Germany came in at 31%...

My Tiebreaker question was to select from three questions, which was most important. This was to decide between British, Italian, and Finnish.
As I recall, it re-asked the questions about:
1. Whether precise, controlled shooting was preferrable to high speed firing.
2. Whether an snappy uniform was very important.
3, The question about Infantry and its effectiveness against Tanks.
I think I selected accurate fire vs high volume, that must indicate British.
My guess is the nifty uniform was an Italian thing.
Thus, Finland must have something to do with the infantry fighting tanks.

The Quiz
It is an Interesting quiz Brain but I am not sure how accurate it is.
The Saving Private Ryan question seems a bit odd to me.
Any way:
Poland - 94%
Finland - 88%
I have never even been to Poland

Re: The Quiz
True. Makes you wonder why the USA Army seems to often score very lowly. It does seem to associate high-minded traits with a few particular countries. I have purpously forced it into a few ties to see which questions it uses to resolve the tie. Its then easy to see which question leads to which country. But that also seems to take the fun out of it.Fallschirmjager ! wrote:It is an Interesting quiz Brain but I am not sure how accurate it is.

The test itself seems to have been designed by a Finnish War Game developer.
