Hello everybody,
I am currently doing research on a Flemish Volunteer who had joined the Kriegsmarine. He was "Matrose" in the "Hafenkommando Monemvasia" and his "erkennungsmarke" was O.60283/43 DA. He died in the Bay (Bucht) of Monemvasia on May 08th 1944.
My questions: Does anyone have information on the Kriegsmarine presence in Monemvasia in May 1944? Can I learn anything from the "erkennungsmarke"? What should I understand under "Hafenkommando"?
Thank you for all information and help!
