Camouflage Question

Post by LEIBSTANDARTE »

Hello all,
can anyone tell me of a web site or book where I can see camouflage colours for AFV's especially German Panzers. I am going to make some models and would like to get them as accurate as possible.
Thank you.

If you want an accurate and detailed publication about camouflage colours for German Panzers, I highly recommend the following books:

all are from Squadron/Signal Publications,

"Panzer Colors" -ISBN 0-89747-057-5
"Panzer Colors 2" -ISBN 0-89747-069-9
"Panzer Colors 3" -ISBN 0-89747-156-3

I think you will be more than happy with these books.

Sorry, but quite to the contrary, Panzer Colors I thru III are neither accurate and detailed but are full of errors and mis-information. Try this site for some more up-to-date info:

I wouldn't consider that article a good source either. The Sturmmörser-Tiger picture is a repaint, and the contents is wrong in some areas. In addition, the colours are most nulikely to be rendered correctly. In fact, the chance of any one of the colours being correct is less than 1 to 16,000,000.
