III & VI SS Korps - June 1944

Post by Daniel McBride »

A very interesting post was put up about the Narva battles elsewhere here. In those series of battles Steiner's III SS Korps played a pivotal role. I have Steiner listed as commanding the VI SS Korps by June 44, south of Pskov (with 15th & 19th SS Lettische) and I am getting the feeling this may not be the case. If anyone can clarify this it would be appreciated.

VI Waffen-AK der SS was commanded by SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Polizei Karl von Pfeffer-Wildenbruch from 8/10/43 to 11/6/44, briefly by SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Polizei Karl von Treuenfeld, and then from 25/7/44 to 20/5/45 by SS-Obergruppenführer und General der Waffen-SS und Polizei Walter Krüger.
