I think Sons of the Reich; II SS Panzer Corps by Michael Reynolds, might have some stuff covering 2.SS-Pz.Div. During Sept-Nov. 1944. I can't really remember, I have not read it in a while.

You can find specific details from reading the DKiG recommendations in Mark Yerger's 2-volume treatment of the "Das Reich" DKiG holders. Highly recommended.

Actually, prices aren't that bad.
Volumes of the Das Reich history go for about £40, Kameraden bis zum Ende is only about £20. The English translations are slightly more expensive...

"Kameraden bis zum Ende" in the English version is NOT recommended. It is one of the absolute worst translations I have ever seen and I don't know how anyone could read it to the end. It appears to have been translated by someone completely lacking any knowledge of military terminolgy. I had earlier read the original German-language version and later picked up a copy of the English version for comparison.

A good one volume book on Das Reich is Das Reich-by the late James Lucas. It was published in 1991 and provides a good introductory to the Division. It has quite a few eyewitness accounts too.It can be bought very cheaply too.

Mark C Yerger's German Cross in Gold vols 1 and 2 are dedicated to Das Reich and are recommended.
