Franz Lettner

I am looking for some help. My grandfather Franz Lettner served in the Wehrmacht and was killed in Yugoslavia in October of 1944. Aside from the fact that he was Austrian and during the war he and my grandmother lived in the Czech Republic not much else is know. I was wondering if any one had any additional information such as unit he served in and campaigns he also saw. My grandmother never talked about him and I felt awkward asking.
