After British and Canadian units put up a fight against the Japanese, the crown colony surrenders. Lost in the shuffle is a 14 year Christian Bale who ends up in a Japanese prison camp with John Malkovich where they put on a community theater production called "Empire of the Sun." After the war, Christian Bale suffers from PTSD and goes on to star in "American Psycho."
