Or an animated film?Commissar D, the Evil wrote:IMHO, "Caste of Horrors" would make a pretty decent graphic novel!
Re: So....My Tank Corps in Prussia...
Animated film would be good. Real film would be better. (Bags I have control of the casting couch!)
Thanks. Dave.

Re: So....My Tank Corps in Prussia...
Thought I would give this a bump and see how the rewrite is going or if it has even begun? I know the last time I talked to David he was planning on taking a break from writing and was gonna recover from writing this epic tail, thought i would ask as i know many of us followed this tail and might be currious as to how David is doing,
Cheers

The rewrite...
I'm actually not sure, but I believe it's on hold. I'm looking at getting the rest of the Hero Tales edited and formatted for print, though. Still need some illustrators.

david
i have just spent the last five nights riveted to my monitor.
reading your wonderful story,'' yes every single page''.
i do not have the words to explain how thrilling, exiciting, factual r/e equipment etc,
every page has been and what is worse not knowing,
what the twist will be on the next episode,
thank you for many hours of pleasure.
it makes sven hassells books pale into a different class.
truly a first class job.
many thanks

Hi, Commissar Davidov.
I am a newbie poster, long time lurker and secret admirer of your tales. I enjoy them a lot.
However, I see the feminine factor is lacking here. Apart from some Helferin and amorous liaisons here and there, no strong female leading character has ever starred in these tales. If I didn't know you are amongst Uncle Joe's favourites, I'd accuse you of discriminating against good ol' proletarian (and not-so-proletarian) Female Comrades. I'll refrain from hurliing such accusations because I have no interest in spending a lenghty vacation in 5-star Hotel Kolyma, and a volley of bullets won't improve my good appearance, either :)
So, in short: I wanna be that female character. I'd gladly fight in the Wehrmacht's side, but I have no interest in being an auxiliary, doesn't suit my personality. I wanna be at the front, use weapons and do the same as the males do. That's why I am volunteering to be in the Red Army as a tankist (and before you object to a female tank Commander, let me name Ekaterina Petliuk as an example). Hey, if Houlihan has Hobbits and leprechauns, why cannot I be a Frontoviki tankist?
So, Starshy Leytenant Marquiseva at your service, Tovarisch Commissar.

But, Marquise!
Leprechauns and Hobbits are real!!
Not that female tankists aren't real, but...

Re: So....My Tank Corps in Prussia...
I am afraid to ask what kind of clovers were you chewing at, Houlihan If Hobbits and Leprechauns are real, not sure why I can't see 'em...
Anyway, I am hoping the Commissar will include Leytenant Marwuiseva, she'll make for some interesting plot twists.

It's to do with the imbibing of Guiness and Whisky, and the degree of precipitation on the Oul' Sod, masking clear sight in favour of the reality under the Hollow Hills...If Hobbits and Leprechauns are real, not sure why I can't see 'em...

Re: So....My Tank Corps in Prussia...
Aye, as Phylo said, it has lots to do with a blood connection to the Auld Sod, and proper dosages of Irish Whiskey and Guiness!!!
Re: So....My Tank Corps in Prussia...
Oh, i see. Then, being a teetotaller and non-Irish, there's no hope I'll ever see 'em.
You have a very... mmm... fertile imagination, Houlihan. Can I rightly expect a 41st SS Elven Volunteers Division in a future tale of yours , then?

Of course it is! What's the hell's the use of a unit that only fights by night when everyone else fights during the day???Oh, now that's just silly!!Can I rightly expect a 41st SS Elven Volunteers Division in a future tale of yours , then?
(And how do they get the pointy ears through the race purity regs???)
