Hans-Georg Hess passed away early on Friday, March 28, 2008.
There is a biography of him on the site so I will not repeat it here. Hess, a Doctor of Law, recently filed a lawsuit in German court against one of Germany's most famous "journalists", a Sam Donaldson type of guy, for his repeated slanders against German veterans. Too bad that will probably not be follwed up on now. I met and spent some time with Herr Hess in Germany in 2003. He was energenic and had a great sense of humor. He was a great man and he will be missed.
