Archives/Research Section

Post by Abicht »

I think there are enough folks asking about research, archives, and how to locate information that it may need its own section. Anyone else agree?

I think Matt's idea is a good one, my only question is if this is currently achieved ok via the existing forums or if we should create a new section. More importantly, what should it be called and where should it reside? Thanks for your comments!

I'd put it in the Specific Research section.

Using Archives

perhaps as a name?

Is this section going ahead as I have the first question to ask?

In the absence of the section I will ask it here. At NARA I know you can get the files of Heer officers and Waffen-SS officers (that are available) but can you get:

1. Luftwaffe or KM Officers?
2. Enlisted personnel?
3. Award winers (RK/DKiG/EBS)

I appreciate your answer.

Thanks

Scott
