Anyone have any information regarding this battle. My uncle participated in this campaign and I'm doing research. I believe it is near Budapest roughly during March of 1945. Also interested in which divisions fought there and the outcome.
thanks, Mark

See Michael Reynolds' "Men of Steel" (Iss pz k late war) and "Sons of the Reich" about II SS pz K.
Also "Firestorm in Last years of the war" by Tielke - much discussed and referenced - I'm looking for it myself.
cheers

Hello,
Also look at Georg Maier's "Drama between Budapest and Vienna" published in English by Fedorowicz.

The book has no first hand combat reports. It is mainly Unit movement and location/strength reports. Along the lines of :
"8 Armee: Prevent an enemy breakthrough on the army's right wing in the March Plain to the Northwest towards Korneuburg"
So unless you want detailed OOB's, movement and original orders it would not interest you.

Seems to be exactly my favourite kind of books.
Jan-Hendrik, have a try at interlibrary loan
GVK Plus (4 weeks loan time for 1 Euro
).
