Were there any SS Fallschirmjägers fighting in the Reichswald area around the end of September 1944 and early November 1944?? If so what was the unit?? Just bought on German eBay the book by Kaleu Hans Bartels about his escapades with M1. It was issued in 1941. Quite interesting to see his rather cocky attitude towards his British friends.....German books written after the war have a very different tone.... :wink: ...

My personal opinion: if the invasion would be attempted in June-July 1940, BEFORE making sure that the Royal Air Force was terminated, it would succeed in geting a bridgehead in the south of England. The British battleships coming from Scotland would be vulnerable to aerial attacks and submarines. ...
