Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

A nightmare last week checking the designed text for vol. 7 ("Wiking" part I) that is now back with the publisher. Had to add a dozen recently contributed photos and captions for two German Cross holders since it was first completed, along with some updated data. It's a 400+ pages volume w...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

While I have some 360 images for "Totenkopf," am looking for a few others and specific areas if anyone has them available for use: Anton Laackmann Alfons Benz Hermann Carstens Willi Düsenschon Arnim Grunert Werner Korff And photos aside from those I have for German Cross, Honor Clasp, and ...

Re: German Cross In Gold Holders of the SS and Police, Volume 6

Thanks for the comments

Polizei Division has always been overlooked and held great interest for me.

Mark

Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

Is it a researched text history of the Division or a photo book using the mentioned already captioned images ? I didn't fully understand from the explanation.

Best wishes,

Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

Hope the US topic book sells well. I've found it hard enough to have a knowledgeable level and archive for a single subject, much less two. Must require an unheard of amount of study to do books on totally different areas.

Best,
Mark

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

I have forever problems with log in and posting, so lucky to get on now.

Volume 6 is out, so an e-mail request for #7 would be next (laughter). Meanwhile I'm knee deep in volume 9 (Totenkopf).

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

Cover for volume 6 came today (below) so assume I'll see it by the holidays. Volume 7 is fully completed and already turned in ("Wiking" part I), am now in the latter part of volume 8 ("Wiking" part II). So per norm am just doing what I do and completing volumes on schedule on re...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

Assembling to send volume 7 of my German Cross in Gold holders of the SS and Police series to the publisher I was rather surprised I ended up with 234 illustrations. Any help with any images as per the types used in the series for "Wiking" or "Totenkopf" for use in the upcoming v...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

Publisher has vol. 6, it's in his hands. He's slow but a perfectionist.

I'll 200 pages into volume 7

Looking for images and documents (scans of both) related to Wiking and Totenkopf

Re: Show Us Your Library

I'm the world's worst photographer and took these at night so 2 of 5 cases don't image well. Having cats who like to pull books off shelves, I use metal cases with glass doors. But what I read and use most is really the xeroxes in four file cabinets with 4 legal drawers each. Not much to photograph ...

Re: Best division in the Waffen SS??

"Best" is a wide term with different answers depending on parameters and a long list of other variables. All units of any military have success and failures. If I said only three or four men of six dozen plus formation commanders were highly competent, fully capable, and superior skilled I...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

Got my volume 5 copies a couple days ago for contributors.

Their cost and the postage bill to send them to those individuals was a shock :?

But since we have no longer have book rate to Europe at least they'll get there fast (airmail)

Now back to work on vol. 6..................
