Re: Mansal Denton - "Mansal D"
From what I've been able to ascertain, only via the net, is that Mansal was charged/arrested back in mid January. It is now late March. What has happened since?? Does anyone know exactly?

Re: Show Us Your Library
Thanks John. In regard to HPT: as expected his library is indeed very impressive. A standout is his collection of contemporary articles / documents, etc. on the police formations of not only the Third Reich but of the collaborator authorities in occupied Europe. The same applies to the Italian SS, F...

Re: Show Us Your Library
Some parts of my library. The first "serious" book I bought was over well 30 years when I was still a school boy. The book was Volume 2 "Uniforms, Organisation and History of the Waffen-SS" by Bender and Hugh Page Taylor. I still treasure this magnificent series very much. Hugh i...

Re: Blood, Steel, Myth/George Nipe
I have a gut-feel it will be like the 'Arnheim' book this publisher (RZM) is "close to releasing". In other words we'll probably never see it. I hope I am wrong.

Re: Croation Legion By Jason Mark
Today I received the most recent publication from Leaping Horseman Books titled: "Croatian Legion - The 369th Reinforced (Croatian) Infantry Regiment on the Eastern Front 1941-1943" by Amir Obhodas & Jason Mark. This publishing house consistently produces the highest quality and extrem...

Re: What do you read at the moment?
Currently reading: "For Free India - Indian Soldiers in Germany and Italy During the Second World War". By Martin Bamber and edited by Aad Neevan. A very well researched book with good photographic material. I highly recommend it. Also received and wasted my time reading "The SS - A N...

Prit,
You have sumed it all up - exceptionally well worded. Thankyou.
Richard,
Generally you're right too. I can't deny that. Thankyou.

Re: Battleground Prussia Book ?
EXACTLY Panzermahn and Rotanhäntäpistin you are right. One could write a book on the double standard of glossary of terms and descriptions (eg: German compared to American/English/Soviet). One prime example is "Freedom Fighters" and "Terrorists" . But one has to be prepared for t...

Re: Battleground Prussia Book ?
Very well stated Jan-Hendrik. Furthermore the statements/comments of others seem to me wrong. If you use their logic it almost justifies "September 11", the atrocities by the Vietcong, NVA and others (eg: IRA) that were or are anti-American / anti-English. I guess I am biased because I kno...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger
The upcoming volume on the German Cross Holders of the Polizei Division and Units should be extremely interesting and a must have to obtain. Relative to other divisions / units / personalities there is very little in detail avaliable on the SS-Polizei. Mark is one of those very rare authors/research...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Scott Revell
Last week I received, direct from Scott Revell, the book "Retake Arnhem Bridge". In one word: the book is EXCELLENT. It is a top quality publication, very well researched and written with good photos. The book is obviously based on the battles around Arnhem in 1944, but what makes it speci...
