Some parts of my library.
The first "serious" book I bought was over well 30 years when I was still a school boy. The book was Volume 2 "Uniforms, Organisation and History of the Waffen-SS" by Bender and Hugh Page Taylor. I still treasure this magnificent series very much. Hugh in fact only lives 15 minutes from where I do !

Re: Show Us Your Library
Peter - What an excellent book collection that you have! Just like with the posts of other members, I saw some interesting titles that were new to me that I will have to investigate further. I suspect that you acquired quite a few of those books on trips to Europe as I can well imagine the postal costs of getting all those books to Australia. How does the collection of HPT compare with what you have?

Thanks John.
In regard to HPT: as expected his library is indeed very impressive. A standout is his collection of contemporary articles / documents, etc. on the police formations of not only the Third Reich but of the collaborator authorities in occupied Europe. The same applies to the Italian SS, Facist militias and various organisations. HPT himself is a wealth of knowledge and experience, and he is is a very fine English gentleman.

Richard - Thanks for posting the additional photos of your impressive collection. Have you actually read all of those books? I was a little confused at first over some of your titles until I realized that they were the Nation Europa or Fedorowicz version of the original Munin Verlag edition.

Re: Show Us Your Library
Hi John,
Have I read them all? Nope. I normally just translate the bits I want. Sometimes that means I translate page upon page, and sometimes just a snippet. I've translated masses of Breslauer Apokalypse; that's probably the one I've tackled most of.
I can be a tad profligate; there are a few books which I'll perhaps use only a page or two of info from, e.g. the Hosenfeld diaries - they only make a relatively passing appearance in Blitzkrieg Unleashed (now available in a very reasonable price in paperback ), but it all adds to the story.
None of the Bombenkrieg/Endkampf books have been seriously tackled (apart from a few which touch upon Silesia and general issues relating to 1945); they'll be translated when I come to Book No.6. I normally gather material one or two books in advance, ie I'm writing one and planning the next one.
Right now, Book 4 is being written and material for books 5, 6 and 7 gathered as funds allow.
