Thankee, Sir! I'd rather not "feel older," if it's just the same to you, but I do appreciate the sentiment!

Many happy returns from Blighty. May there be lots of books to unwrap when you get home. :D

I hit middle age next month, not something I especially relish. Time to get out the pipe and slippers. And a good book to read perhaps. :D

I'm guessing Tom's 44 or 45 because I think he joined the Navy in 1979. :D

Actually, halder, I'm 46 but that was a damned good guess!

Vielen Danke, Kameraden!

You're right, Gerhard, years are starting to move more quickly!

'ere now, surely a babe in the woods--the Commissar has medals older than 46 years..... :D :D :D

I therefore demand that Comrade Tom refer to me in the future as "Sir", or at least as "Comrade Commissar, Sir"..... :D :D :D :D

:D :D :D

I think that, given our long friendship, "Comrade" is probably the best I can hope for and the most appropriate.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM!!!

Best,
David
