I just tried to get microfilm via interlibrary loan and my library said the NARA wont let Record Group 242 be loaned. Their website also menetions that the German Records Group is not available via interlibrary loan. What gives? with the recent price increase for microfilm this really hurts.

John, you have probably already seen it but the US Army Center for Military History has put entire books from their "US Army in World War 2" series online; here is a link to "The Lorraine Campaign" covering the Metz battle.
