Re: Bridge over the ?

Hi Prosper, Thanks for the reply again. It wasn't Washington but I did like the look of St. Petersburg and I have been looking at it for a few days now and looked at older photos and on Flickr as well ,but although it is very similar I have come to the conclusion that it is not it. But thanks for yo...

Re: Karl Neuhoff

Hi again,

I've come across another small biography on him in a book I have called "Knight's Cross Holders of the Fallschrimjager" by Franz Kurowski. There is a photo of him as well and it is the same as in the book by Peters although a little bit better quality.

Thanks for the reply Prosper I thought of that as well but it's not the Thames. Nothing wrong with your English though it's very good.

Re: Fallschirmjager Photos - Fake, Reprints or Real ??

They certainly looked posed but they just don't seem right. There isn't enough to go on. There is no clue in the scene and the equipment seems what you might expect. Is the guy with the binoculars wearing a scarf. Not sure about Agfa paper. I always thought it was "agfa+a type" during the ...

What type of paper are they printed on? Have you tried an ultra violet light on them?

Re: War memorial ?

Thanks for the reply Ealdwita. It was only the building that was part of the WW2 set. The others I took myself, I just didn't realise that they were on the link. Thanks again. Richard, Thanks very much for solving my puzzzle and for the photo. From your information I was able to look at the photos i...

War memorial ?

Hi, Bought some photos recently and trying to figure out where the guy was stationed. The only photo that might give a clue was this one. It may be someplace that's well known. Would anybody out there know. I should say that the photos are of a german soldier during WW2. The link to the photo is sho...

Re: Campaign Entries in Bomber Pilot's Wehrpass

Hi Hucks, Managed to get most of I think. Still a few words that I can't make out. I'm not a native german speaker so maybe a German could translate this better but you get the gist of it anyway I hope. The missing words from the previous effort are highlighted. 1. 27.9.40 Feldzug in Polen, II./K.G....

Re: Campaign Entries in Bomber Pilot's Wehrpass

Hi Hucks, Had a look at this for you. The entries are difficult to make out. So as I'm going off for the weekend I thought I'd post what I could to get you started and maybe somebody might be able to fill in the gaps. 1. 27.9.40 Feldzug in Polen, II./K.G.3 Campaign in Poland (15 ------ 5 ------) 1.1...
