The T196 was indeed a former torpedo boat. Launched in 1911 as G196, she displaced 810t deep with dimensions 74,0 (oa) x 7,6 x 3,1 m. She was armed with 2-88 mm guns and 4-500 mm torpedo tubes. I can only add that each battery comprised four 88mm pieces. The task of Küstenschutz Danzig was to make provisions for operation of SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN.
