Hi:
I wonder if any of my FRIENDS on this site are responsible for all the e-Mail I am getting. It started with someone saying as a SS man I only got what I deserved and now I am getting approx. 30 - 50 messages a day, most of them with a attached virus.
If it is someone here - annoying, otherwise big deal.

I don't know a thing about your past, or what you are getting, but there's one thing I can say: there's a very annoying e-mail virus on the lose, and you'd better update your antivirus-definitions IF you have an antivirusprogramm.

So, it could very well be that you are just a "victim" as are many others.

We have a few idiots on this Board, but no one I'd class off hand as a lowlife piece of @#%.

I'm sorry to hear this Gerhard. There's a good anti-virus program to be downloaded at http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php, just press the button which says "Download AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition" and then follow the instructions. If you think it's too complicated perhaps you can ask someone else ( i.e. an younger family member) to help you.

Yes, Good suggestion Daniel, I use AVG and it works pretty well. You have to purchase it after the free trial runs out though.

Sorry to disappoint you, "KampfgruppeMeyer," but I have not done what you suggest, nor would I.

I don't even know who Gerhard is. I hope the attack is not coming from someone here... not withstanding certain individuals with other agendas, we are here to learn and exchange information. I, too have contributed to this in my own small way, have a look at my posts in the research sections of this forum.

I do not agree with NS or many of the things the SS was responsible for. But this is no reason to attack a WWII veteran who comes here to share honest information. People who engage in such attacks are beneath contempt.

Isn't there a way to trace where the e-mails came from, to try to identify the *sshole, I mean culprit? It's bad enough when you get a virus accidentally, which has happened to me. I think intentionally sending a virus justifies vigilante justice, but that's my personal opinion!
