Hello to all
I have a question about this picture. I found it in a book by Ivar Matanle, World War II. I am trying to find out when and where this picture was taken. I tried several times at Keystone (photo rights agency) but they could not help me.
The reason this picture is important is that we saw a familiar face. It turned out to be the missing grandfather of a friend of mine.
He is the second German on the right. (member of 347. ID Sanitätsunteroffizier)
We think the photograph is taken in april/march 1945 near Saargemund/ Forbach in the Saar region in southwest Germany.
Could anyone confirm this information
Thanks,
Arwin Heineman
