I am new to all this. My usual interest is American Civil War and the AAF in WW2. What brought me here is a Soldbuch for 17 year old Arno Gordt who was killed in action September 16, 1944. The only unit listed in his book is Gren. Ers. u. Ausb. Btl. 105. If I understand things right this was a reserve training organization and did not see combat as a unit, correct?
Is there any way to find out what regiment he was with when he was killed? He is buried in Lommel, Belgium.
I thank you all for any help you can give me.

He was probably killed in one of those units. If I were to guess, he was probably killed fighting along the West Wall in 1944-1945. Hope this helps.
