Nope. I've been to Caserma Ederle numerous times though. I completed a one year exchange at the University of Pavia...before that I was in Florence. I traveled back to Italy a lot when I lived in Germany. Went at least twice a year. It's been about two years that I haven't been back to either...longest time away since being an adult.

Since no one answers me, then I speak in English. Hi John, then if you go to Sorrento, why do not we meet? I'm Massimiliano Afiero, I hope you know me, I have published numerous books on the history of Waffen SS and for some years also translated into English by Schiffer, I live in the province of Naples.

Don't know if this will work for you, but just a thought.

Since this thread seems somewhat active, I'd like to ask here as well - are image attachments not displaying for me because the database has been lost or something along those lines?

Thanks Simon,

It's taking a lot more work than I imagined. Lots of construction yet to come.

Greetings to both Chairman Jim Pollar and the community as a whole. Howdy Jim! Well sir, in light of your introductory posting of Friday - February 10, 2017 - 12:09pm, old yours truly has just returned to the Feldgrau Forum after a seven year hiatus and I was mildly surprised to learn of the departure of Jason Pipes and your subsequent ascendancy to the thankless post of Chairman of the Board. A hearty congratulations to you! You clearly have a herculean task ahead of you and I would like to convey my very best wishes for your success with this laborious endeavor. With that said, since I was in the neighborhood, I thought I would say hello! In any case, I would like to bid you a copacetic day from sea to shining sea.

Best Regards,
Uncle Bob  :D 8)
