Does any one know what the German term "Abriegelungstelle" translates as? We are rather stumped on this one. We know it is talking about a sealed off portion of the Germn line, but it is a "blocking postion", "seal-off position", "locked postion"? What would be the best English translation for this term?
Here it used in a sentence: "Nach Uberlauferaussagen ist gegen 21,00 uhr mit starkarem feindlichen angriff aus dem Wolchow Kessel gegen die Abriegelungstelle bei 58. I.D. zu rechnen".
Thanks in advance for any assitance with this tough term.
Regards,
Brian B.

Re: Abriegelungstelle
Brian, I would say that it is a blocking position as "abriegen" is the verb to block in a military sense.
