Anyone who has the abovementioned book, and can answer a couple of questions?

I am very interested in the picture on the frontcover - can anyone tell me if anything is written in a note in the book about it, or does anyone know the photo? What I am most interested in is ofc. names of the men, but I would also be interested in the date of the photo, or which source it comes from.
