Pillbox in warsaw ?

This is Warsaw. Wondered if any one knows any more about it. Overlooks a busy tram cross roads. Is it german ?

Hello,

I am no pillbox expert so I cannot say it is either German, Polish, or Soviet. However, I am not sure if the preparations for such pillboxes was made in Warsaw itself in the 1939 campaign. I would guess it is probably built later than the 1939 campaign. Which street does it overlook? Just out of curiosity.

this is a picture I found (link below). It looks very close to the one you showed. As the picture seems older, the open space might have been filled in. The billboard and trees and house make it the likely location, I think. And, as it gives the street names, it might help you to find out more about it.

This is so called Tobruk bunkers (or Ringstand 58c). There were 60 or so of them built in Warszawa and as far as I know around half of them is still there (like the one above). One - taken out of the ground - can be seen in the Museum of Warsaw Uprising.
