I read in a local paper to-day.On this day March 4 1941, Death from exposure was the verdict recorded at Kenmare, Co Kerry yesterday on the body of a German flying officer which was found washed ashore in Kenmare Bay. Deceased was identified as Freidrich Schutz, aged 23,by a name photo and disc number found in a wallet in his uniform. This also contained an Iron Cross, dated 1939.There were no marks of violence on the body which was believed to have been a couple of days in the water. Can anyone tell me how I can find anymore information about him? eg. was he shot down, is he buried in Glencree, where did he win the Iron Cross, was he bomber crew, or fighter pilot? etc.etc. :( :( :(
