KC Holder Heinz Schlegel - info needed urgently!!!
Hi fellows,
I urgently need infos on Oberst Heinz Schlegel:
* 16.01.1904 Halle/Saale
+ 07.05.2001
Ritterkreuz am: 23.10.1944
Kommandeur GrenRgt 222
Please post all information you have.
Most important for me is to know
- where he died or
- an actual contact to his family.
I appreciate any advice!

Hello Nordlicht!
Oberst Heinz Schlegel passed away on 07.05.2001 in Bremen. He had also received the DKiG on 29.03.1943 as a Major commanding Pi.Btl. 175.

Hi, Nordlich. I am not sure, but taken into account that He died in a Bremen, maybe it is his grave.

Hi Salex,
Heinz Schlegel died in Bremsen (or Bremen). Maybe the name of the town is misspelled.

He had the rank of Oberst and was the commander of 222. Grenadierregiment He was awarded with the RitterKreuz (Knights Cross) on the 23rd of october 1944.
