Does anyone have information about the Kriegskinder? Also, I know Himmler encouraged the SS officers to have many children in and out of marriage. I believe also that he kept a list somewhere of these children. I forget the name of this list. Was it ever found? Would officers have listed the children they had out of wedlock? My mother was one and I am researching my grandfather. He has made no mention of her in his military files, but I know the government was trying to take her to one of Hitler's special schools (which my grandmother didn't allow), so he must have acknowledged her somewhere....he is not listed on her birth record either.
Sorry this is a duplicate post.
