Re: FRONTLINE PHOTOS OF GERMAN SOLDIERS
You are welcome! I was just wondering maybe someone could add some photos too. We all could post here some pics where not only fighting, shooting are depicted but also pics in which we could see german lads at rest, playing cards, chatting so on and so forth on the front.
I mean, their everyday routine (besides fighting of course). Through these photos we could see and contemplate a true nature of war. Because the war isn’t just battles, aiming and shooting that’s also a survival, the way soldiers cope with constant problems like hunger, cold and heat, fatigue, fear, countless marches, deliveries of food and ammo, construction works and as a consequence physical and mental exhaustion. And all that was depicted by war correspondents.
Those pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: FRONTLINE PHOTOS OF GERMAN SOLDIERS
Hello Raúl M! Thank you for your pics, they're great.(the second one is rather sad i have to admit - but that was a gruesome reality of those days). I was wondering do you have any pics conserning the last german offensive on the eastern front - so called operation Spring Awakening?

Hello Klaus,
From "Frühlingserwachen" You`ll get no German pictures as I fear.

Re: FRONTLINE PHOTOS OF GERMAN SOLDIERS
I find it very interesting, to see the germans prefering the Russian submachineguns. My Grandpa told me about it. He took one in Stalingrad fighting.

Re: FRONTLINE PHOTOS OF GERMAN SOLDIERS
Thanks a lot for the info guys and special thanks to you Franz Repper for the pics! They are awesome. Especially the one with the camel.
About "Frühlingserwachen" - it's sad there aren't any pics. Because i've been studing this operation recently (and trying to get some photographs as well not only concerning this operation but also about the last months of the war)but if no photos hadn't been taken at all - we could do nothing about it. In any case thanks for the replay.
By the by Heinrich Frey i've got some photos with germans armed with russian smallarms. Here are some of them. I'm sure this gonna be interesting for everyone.
Cheers, Klaus

Hello Klaus,
the officer on ppshkampf.jpg above fought in Stalingrad. Maybe he had been with the 389. Inf.-Div.. Do You know more about the photo?
