Can someone tell me what the fuhrungsabteilung was in a division HQ? Is it different from the Ia, the operational section?

The Führungsabteilung were the Ia and Ic in a divisional headquarter.

I see, thank you. It seems that the Ia and fuhrungsabteilung both kept separate war diaries (KTB). If they're the same organization, why would that be?
What would be a good translation of fuhrungsabteilung?
