This is my first posting - so excuse the terminology...
What's the proper way to sew the Iron Cross Ribbon to the 2nd button hole, and what happens to the Ribbon where it turns around the back of the Tunic at 45 degrees?

The ribbons tended to be hand stitched on to the tunics, most likely by the recipient. I have attached 4 photos to show you - the first two are from a Jaeger M36 service tunic while the second two are from a Grossdeutschland combat tunic.....

I would have expected a lot neater sewing. but that's exactly what I was looking for...
