Waffenfarbe of Aufklarung - North Africa '42

Hey gents!

Something I am struggling with understanding is the waffenfarbe system of uniform insignia.

An Aufklarung (mixed reconnaissance) kompanie in North Africa leastways; had panzerjaeger, kradshutzen, panzer grenadiers, beutebatteries of OQF 25pdrs and anything else they could get their hands on!

Would they all wear the same waffenfarbe colouring? Or would the gunners of the captured batteries have a different waffenfarbe from the kradshutzen? :?

Thanks!

My understanding of the WF system is that a artillery man would wear
the appropiate red for "Arty". What makes him a member of a certain
division, regiment etc. would be the numbers, numerals, lettering or other symbols
(such as "snake&staff" for medical, harp for musician and a few others)
on his shoulder boards.

The colors are for identifying "branch of arms", infantry, signals etc.

If a Kradschütze manned a capured gun he on the other hand would
most likely still wear his golden-yellow or copper-brown color. If he was
transferred from one to another he would probably change color as he would function.
