I'm searching for information on enforcement of dicipline during the war. Havent seen any threads on this. Specificlly I looking for information or data on numbers of German members of the Heer, SS, Luftwaffe, & Kriegsmarine committed to punishment units or having the death sentence executed for major violations such as desertion, violation of orders, mutiny ect...

Recomendation for any comparative studys of the major combatants would be most welcome

Thanks

Start with Alfred de Zayas' "The Wehrmacht War Crimes Bureau, 1939-1945" Nebraska University Press, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wehrma ... mes_Bureau

Thanks for the fast response. Zayas book seems to be entirely on crimes by non German soldiers. I'm after information on disciplinary action on German soldiers, by the Wehrmacht & other Heer or nazi government judicial venues
