Does anyone know anything about screen captures? All I know is that it's possible to watch a DVD on a computer, and capture individual images to save as jpegs.

Does this take special software? How hard is it? Don't tell me the process is idiot proof, cuz I'm just the idiot to prove you wrong! :D

What? You want to learn how, or you're my back-up to show it's not idiot proof? :D

You probably need special software. I use WinDVD. When you play a DVD in WinDVD, you just right-click and select "capture" and then save the image in the WinDVD folder.

Thanks, Beppo! I'll have to look at my laptop, and see if WinDVD is on it.

If you can freeze the image at the frame you want to capture, press the 'print screen' key on your keyboard (usually near the top right). This copies the current screen to the clipboard. You can then open whatever imaging software you use - Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, etc - and choose 'paste' from the edit menu.

Prit, I daresay that almost sounds idiot-proof! Thanks!
