Computer help question.

Post by sniper1shot »

Figured this would be the best place to ask a computer question.

There are some sites that I access that have real tiny writting.
Google search results, Amazon, Chapters, Bookfinder etc.

The writting is so small I can't even read it.
Not all sites but I am noticing it more and more.

What can I do to ensure all my sites have proper font when they come up?

What browser are you using to surf the net?

If your using windows, on the lower right hand corner of the window
as your reading this post there is an +100% visiable. You
may adjust this "zoom" to whatever you need.

At least this helps me when I have problems with small
print or photos.

I am sure others will have other suggestions.

What browser are you using? I couldn't find the zoom you mentioned. I'm using IE 6.0. I typically have to set and rest "large font" from the 'view' menu which is annoying.

Any ideas?

cheers

You can change the text size using the view menu at the top of your browser. Also under:
Programs > Accesories > Accessability
there is a magnifying utility that will enlarge part of the screen.

Sorry just notieced that you are using ie and awair of the view options.

Another way is to go into:
tools > internet options
The accessabiity button allows you to click on boxes that will make it so your browser ignores the site font sizes and.or styles
The Font button will allow you to select your prefered size and style.

With IE if you have a mouse with the roller scroller (yes that’s a technical term  ) in the middle. Holding Control and scrolling back makes the text big and oblviously forward makes it smaller. A good quick method.

All the best

WHOO HOO!!!!! This one works.

Thanks for all the answers troops.

I learned something new today.

Too much of a hassle to keep going in and changing my fonts for one page here and another page there.

I too, did not find the +100 in the bottom right corner.

Thanks again!!
