hi all
i need a bit of technical advice my k98 sight when in the down position veers 1 and a half millimetres to the right i would like to correct this and have it positioned exactly , i can push it into the correct level but it just springs back to the right i would ask can any one help me to correct this
as when i raise the sight it then appears to be well off

Hi.
Not having seen it, and not having held it in my hands, I would say the following:
Damaged or worn since it springs back after correcting it.
Have you compared it with a second k98?
As an example, k98 rifles are used a lot as member rifles in danish shooting ranges, and when discarded, sights and other items are stripped from them.
There should be a lot of second hand equipment for sale at a reasonable price all over Europe.
