wolfgang flew wingman for his commanding officer in a stuka unit, killed on russian front in '44, near grodno i think. he was a deutsche kreuz in gold winner, bronze, silver, and gold bomber clasps.

otto kalmbach, was a glider pilot in the mid 30's, then went into stukas and heikel 110's and 111's. was in geschwader hindenburg. flew in afrika/malta/italian theaters, then became a flight instructor for a while, and then back to the western front, shot down over the battle of the bulge, at night, was shot down a total of 5 times, and ended up flying me 262's at the end. iron cross winner, 1st and 2nd, afrika cuff band, hindenburg cuffband, pilot's badge. not sure which clasps he was awarded.
